In a continuous effort to modernize the digital infrastructure of the Technical University of Moldova (UTM), the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Directorate has developed and deployed a Vehicle Fleet Information System designed for the efficient, transparent, and centralized management of institutional vehicles.
The platform enables the collection, storage, and quick viewing of all relevant information for each vehicle in UTM’s fleet, including:
-
Make and model, year of manufacture, engine capacity, type of drive;
-
Fuel type, number of seats, color, and other specifications.
The system also offers extended functionalities for monitoring vehicle usage, such as:
-
Trip history (date, time, kilometers traveled, driver, location);
-
Fueling records (liters, mileage, amount, supplier);
-
Digital attachment of relevant documents: registration certificate, technical report, vehicle photographs.
The interface is intuitive, organized into functional sections (vehicles, users, documents), and allows real-time data updates with full traceability.
Through this solution, the ICT Directorate contributes to:
-
Optimizing the management of the university’s automotive logistical resources;
-
Increasing transparency in the use of institutional vehicles;
-
Automating operational tasks and reducing human errors in data management.
The platform is intended for and used by technical and administrative staff responsible for university transportation.
All these projects are carried out with the direct support of the UTM Rector and the Vice-Rector for Digitalization, who actively promote the modernization of the university through advanced technologies and integrated digital infrastructures.
